Manitoba extends health orders and one shopper rule until at least June 12, 2021

June 1, 2021

To further protect the health system, the Manitoba government has announced the extension of all public health orders until at least Saturday, June 12, 2021, and likely beyond.

Retail capacity remains at 10% of fire code occupancy, to a maximum of 100 people for larger footprint stores. Additionally, stores must take steps to ensure only one person per household will be allowed to enter a business, with some exceptions, such as a single parent with children or someone who requires a caregiver.

The health order also calls out the existing powers of Public Health to utilize health-hazard orders to close businesses, if necessary, where there are signs of significant workplace transmission. Most businesses and organizations remain closed for in-person service, including restaurants, gyms, and personal services. Indoor and outdoor gatherings beyond members of households are prohibited.
