Manitoba health care-focused budget released

The Manitoba government announced its 2022/23 budget last week that was big on commitments to the health care system but offered few new headlines for the retail members.

RCC met with Manitoba’s Minister of Finance on the priorities of the retail sector and was pleased to see a commitment to continuing to lower payroll taxes, ongoing investments in retail crime reduction, as well as an indication of future support for retail job growth, through grants and immigration programs. RCC will continue to advocate for these initiatives, and other properties as the budget moves through its approval process.
