Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) deadline extended to January 18, 2024

September 19, 2023

The Federal Government has announced that January 18, 2024 is the new deadline for businesses to repay Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) loans.

The new deadline is just under three weeks later than the previous date of December 31, 2023, which was initially extended in January 2022. Businesses looking for additional time can further extend to March 28, 2024 if they apply for a refinancing extension.

Businesses unable to make the repayment deadline will pay a three-year term loan with a five per cent interest rate.
