In response to RCC’s advocacy efforts on behalf of our members, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has agreed to extend the implementation timeline for labelling requirements for modified vinegar by an additional year to November 2023.

Further to that, as requested by RCC, CFIA is adding the synonym “buffered vinegar” to its permitted synonyms for food additives table. These changes will be reflected online soon, which RCC will share with members as soon as they are available.
