The Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) will soon reduce its wholesale markups on cannabis products sold to retailers.
Currently, the OCS wholesale markup adds on average 31 per cent. On September 11, 2023, that total will be reduced to 25 per cent on most cannabis products and 23 per cent on dried flower.
The OCS will move to a fixed mark-up pricing model, estimated to contribute approximately $60 million to the Canadian marketplace, which “will create greater transparency and consistency for licensed producers” according to the provincial cannabis authority.
