Ontario confirms $15.50/hr min. wage starting Oct. 1

Effective October 1, 2022, the general minimum wage rate in Ontario will raise to $15.50/hour, the provincial government confirmed on Monday, April. 4, 2022.

Each year, the province’s minimum wage rate increases by inflation. While the government increased the minimum wage on January 1, 2022 to $15.00, this year is no exception, as inflation continues to grow.
