Ontario Employment Standards Act update
June 8, 2021In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ontario government put into effect an emergency leave regulation that changed certain Employment Standards Act (ESA) rules during the “COVID-19 period.” This regulation has now been amended to extend the COVID-19 period through September 25, 2021.
