Retail capacity restrictions further loosened in Quebec

July 13, 2021

As of Monday, July 12, 2021, there are no longer capacity restrictions for retail businesses in Quebec. However, retailers will have to manage traffic in their businesses in order to maintain a distance of 1 meter at all times (indoors and outdoors) between people from different residences. Wearing a mask or face covering remains mandatory for customers.

RCC expects that CNESST will soon release necessary documentation so that workplaces can implement the new policies in a way that respects the health and safety of workers in Quebec. Preventive measures currently in place for workers are available online.
