Sunday shopping remains intact in Quebec

The law that frames opening hours, including Sundays, in Quebec has been a mainstay for many years. There was a movement recently to lobby to change the law to prohibit brick and mortar retailers from operating on Sundays.
Through pressure applied by the Quebec RCC team on the Quebec government, the law concerning opening hours and Sunday shopping will remain as it has been; retailers in Quebec have the choice of whether or not they want to operate on Sundays.
