Saskatchewan Retail Immigrant Nominee pilot program announced

December 1, 2021

Saskatchewan announced a new pilot program under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) to address hard-to-fill positions in the province.

The program will enable Saskatchewan employers to recruit workers into select jobs that have significant recruitment challenges – including retail and hospitality. The eligible jobs allow for low and entry level positions, and may require on-the-job training, that are critical for businesses to continue to operate and grow.

To be eligible, employers must demonstrate they have made extensive efforts to hire domestically, and workers must also meet some basic requirements. For more details, contact the Ministry of Immigration and Career Training’s Immigration Services at 1-833-613-0485 or immigration@gov.sk.ca.
