Temporary pandemic layoff measures to end in Saskatchewan

June 24, 2021

Saskatchewan’s State of Emergency is expected to end on July 11, when the province removes all remaining public health orders introduced throughout the pandemic. While this is good news overall, it should be noted that the pandemic-related temporary layoff rules will also expire. As a result, within two weeks of July 11, employees who aren’t scheduled will be considered to be terminated, with severance pay due.
