EnAbling Change for Retailers: Make your Store Accessible

December 18, 2019

As more than 50% of Canadians are affected with disabilities each day, retailers in Canada must ensure that their stores are meeting and exceeding the community's needs.

To assist retailers in Canada with making their stores accessible for customers and employees, Retail Council of Canada has developed a free Guidebook for retailers: EnAbling Change for Retailers: Make your Store Accessible. In order to help retail businesses become more inclusive and accessible for everyone, this Guidebook focuses on topics such as customer service, recruitment and retention, and accessible communications for people with disabilities, as well as 19 pages of additional resources from accessibility community stakeholder organizations.

RCC has prepared this Guidebook with support from the Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Seniors and Accessibly. Along with other helpful resources in RCC’s EnAbling Change for Retailers program (which includes videos, webinars, templates and other accessibility tools), this Guidebook is free retailers.
