BC Restart Plan moves to Step 2 today

June 15, 2021

BC moves forward with Step 2 of the BC Restart Plan today. While mask and physical distancing requirements remain in place in indoor public spaces, other guidance has loosened. British Columbians will now be able to travel within the province for any reason. A maximum of 50 people will be permitted at personal and organized gatherings set outdoors.

Changes were also announced to other COVID-related restrictions: a maximum of 50 people will be permitted for seated indoor organized gatherings (movie theatres, live theatre, banquet halls); the restriction on the sale and service of liquor ending at 10pm will now end at 12am midnight; indoor sports (games) and high-intensity fitness may resume; and finally, up to 50 spectators will be allowed for outdoor sports.
