Potential impacts on CN/CP Rail transport eastbound from Vancouver

The Federal Transport Minister has issued a Ministerial Order to reduce train speed limits and increase fire mitigation measures (currently between Kamloops and Boston Bar). The order impacts the major railways throughout Canada when the air temperature is 30°C and above and when the fire hazard level is ‘extreme.’ The Ministerial Order is in effect between July 11, 2021 and October 31, 2021.
