Strong demand for Alberta Jobs Now program

Due to strong demand, the first application intake period for the Alberta Jobs Now Program closed July 23, 2021, earlier than anticipated. The program, which provides a grant of up to 25% of a new hire’s salary and 37.5% for new employees with disabilities (to a maximum of 20 new hires) was announced in May, and has shown great demand from the retail and service sector.
The next intake period begins September 16, 2021 and retailers are encouraged to apply early.
