Manitoba eliminates Sunday and holiday shopping restrictions

On Friday, December 12, 2020 the Manitoba government announced new legislation that allows retailers to set their own hours on Sundays and holidays starting this past weekend.
RCC has long advocated for this legislation that allows retailers to set their hours based on business demand as the Retail Business Hours of Operation Act now does.
While these rules will have longer term impacts, in the near term under Manitoba’s current health order it does allow for retailers to extend their hours for curbside pick-up, and where applicable, in-store hours.
