Best practices for retail stores during COVID-19
It is recommended that all retailers review their sanitation procedures and increase their sanitation frequency, especially for high touch surfaces and public areas. Surfaces must be cleaned on a regular basis with an approved detergent. Cleaning removes the physical contaminants that are on a surface. Read more
OSH Answers Fact Sheets
Amid the COVID-19 urgency, Employers will want to be sure to follow health and safety requirements and protocols available from Federal Provincial and Territorial governments (which cover work refusals).
The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has prepared a fact sheet with information on what workplaces can do to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 (Note that the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety is supported by F/P/T governments, with governments as well as employer and employee representatives sitting in oversight (mirroring the OHS internal responsibility system)).
