Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) extended into December

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) program will be extended until December, providing greater certainty and support to businesses. The full details about the extension will be shared later this week.
RCC welcomes this news. This recovery vehicle is critical to retailers of all sizes. We have supported a “ramp” to the program that would allow for some wage support as businesses start to see a more normal return to revenues, but where revenues remain lower than they would have been historically.
