Alberta announces plans to reopen
April 30, 2020Premier Jason Kenney has announced plans to allow non-essential retail stores to reopen on May 14, 2020 under generally similar physical spacing and cleaning protocols currently in place for those stores presently operating in the province. The Alberta Relaunch Strategy summarizes the plan, and RCC will outline further guidelines as they are finalized in coming days. RCC is working closely with the Government in this process. The Premier recognized the tremendous and important role Alberta retailers played to flatten the curve that has set the conditions for this return.
