Alberta monitors recently introduced targeted regional measures

May 4, 2021

On Thursday, April 29, 2021 the Alberta government announced new measures targeting a continuously evolving list of larger centres and other hot spot communities across the province. As active cases continue to put significant pressure on the health system, targeted hot spots have moved Grade 7 and above to online learning and prohibited all indoor fitness activities. Curfews are also being contemplated.

All other current public health restrictions, including masking, prohibitions on social gatherings and working from home requirements remain in place province-wide, including those for retail.

RCC continues to have daily discussions with the Alberta government who has repeatedly signaled confidence in the safety of retail stores at the current 15% capacity limit.
