B.C. government updates single-use and plastic waste ban guidance

The B.C. government has updated the website and guidance for the Single-Use and Plastic Waste regulation which will be coming into effect December 20, 2023. Ministry leadership have offered to meet with any retailers who have concerns about the regulation, including both the implementation date and the problematic reusable bag requirements.

The printed guidance has also been updated slightly for shopping bags, (banned) problematic plastic, food service ware, and food service accessories.
