Bill 29: RCC presentation to parliamentary committee

On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, RCC participated in the consultation of the Quebec Parliamentary Committee on Bill 29, An Act to protect consumers from planned obsolescence and to promote the durability, repairability, and maintenance of goods which aims to significantly amend the Consumer Protection Act.

As the only trade organization representing non-automotive companies to participate in the consultation, RCC advocated on behalf of Quebec retailers at this meeting. To read RCC’s submission, please click here.
