Tsawwassen container examination facility (at the Port of Vancouver) to substantially raise fees March 1, 2023

January 31, 2023

Tidewater Container Services Inc (TWCSI, the facility operator) says the fee adjustment is a result of increased operating and labour costs experienced year over year for the past three years (since operations began in 2019) associated directly to the container examination process. Prior fees are found here for comparison.

RCC notes that Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA) provides financial oversight of the operation (quarterly reviews as well as financial audits) in order to determine that revenues remain in line with operating costs.
