Retailers in Nova Scotia can operate at 75% capacity

February 9, 2021

From Monday, February 8, 2021 until the end of day on March 7, 2021:

  • Retail businesses in Nova Scotia can operate at 75% capacity (building code capacity, including all people).
  • The rules for restaurants have not changed.
  • Recognized businesses and organizations can resume hosting events with 150 people outdoors, or 50% of a venue’s capacity to a maximum of 100 people indoors. These events must stop any food or alcohol service by 10 p.m. and end by 11 p.m.
  • General gathering limits remain at 10 people.

Should Nova Scotia’s COVID-19 numbers remain low, it is anticipated that this easing of restrictions will be extended beyond March 7, 2021. The press release can be found here.
