RCC Holiday Shopping Survey 2019

November 12, 2019

Retail Council of Canada’s Holiday Shopping Survey 2019, conducted by Leger, asked over 2,500 Canadians from coast to coast about their intended behaviours around the upcoming 2019 holiday shopping season. When compared to 2018 results, the annual survey confirms that Black Friday is not a passing trend in Canada. In fact, a growing number of Canadians have adopted the American holiday as their retail holiday of choice. The survey identified lots of ways Canadians from various regions shop differently, the types of goods they will be spending more of their money on, and the combinations of ways they plan to shop this year (in-store, online, via computer/tablet or mobile device).
