Small business wildfire relief program – applications now open

Independent retailers in Halifax Regional Municipality and Shelburne County that were impacted by Nova Scotia’s recent wildfire evacuation orders can now apply for a one-time grant of $2,500 through the Small Business Wildfire Relief Program. Criteria to qualify for the grant includes being a small business with a yearly gross revenue of no more than $5 million. A franchise can also qualify if – among other criteria – it is locally owned or operated in Atlantic Canada.
