Alberta government to set fixed dated provincial elections

The Alberta government has introduced legislation to set a specific day for future provincial elections, that would occur on the last Monday in May, every four years. When the “Strengthening democracy in Alberta” Bill passes, the next provincial vote would be held on May 29th, 2023.

The Bill would also set limits on who and how third parties could contribute during the election period.
