Alberta throne speech scheduled for November 29, 2022
November 1, 2022Premier Danielle Smith expects to have a seat in the legislature as a result of a by-election before her government introduces a new throne speech on November 29, 2022, for the start of what is expected to be a brief three-week session before the holiday break.
The Premier remains committed to introducing some form of Sovereignty Act, that is designed to allow for greater independence from the Federal Government in areas she feels are important to Albertans. RCC has also been advocating for programs that address retail crime, retail staffing challenges, economic pressures as well as red tape, as part of the final few months leading into a Spring provincial election.
