B.C. extends temporary patio program for liquor service

April 12, 2022

Existing temporary expanded service area (TESA) authorizations are extended until March 31, 2023, to allow businesses more time to make the areas permanent. Businesses must apply through the Liquor and Cannabis Licensing Portal for a new outdoor patio permanent structural change (for outdoor TESAs), or a new interior service area permanent structural change (for indoor TESAs) if they wish to make existing TESAs permanent, subject to local bylaws and requirements.
