BC makes liquor pricing changes permanent

February 25, 2021

Temporary changes enacted early in the COVID-19 pandemic which allow restaurants, bars, and tourism operators with liquor licenses to purchase beer, wine, and spirits at the wholesale price set by the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (rather than wholesale plus a retail markup) have now been made permanent.

RCC is asking that government also make other changes permanent, including the extension of hours of retail sale of liquor, and allowing food-primary and liquor-primary licensees to deliver sealed, packaged liquor products alongside the purchase of a meal.
