B.C. announces 2022 min. wage increase for June

March 15, 2022

B.C. announced that the minimum wage will increase on June 1, 2022, to $15.65 per hour (from $15.20/hour). This is reflective of the government’s plan to link the minimum wage to inflation.

For the first time in its mandate, this government did not keep its commitment to provide six months’ notice of minimum wage increases: longer notice provides business with a better opportunity to plan changes that result from increases in labour costs.
